Clients rely on Pamela Ploor as a business advisor and advocate representing employers and businesses. Pamela has deep experience providing employment law advice to clients on the full range of labor and employment matters.

Areas of concentration:

  • Extensive client representation in state and federal courts and administrative agencies on employment discrimination and retaliation lawsuits, including those filed by the EEOC, Sarbanes-Oxley Act and other whistleblowing and retaliation complaints, and FMLA lawsuits
  • Advice to federal government contractors on their affirmative action obligations and government contracts, and representation during audits by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP). Pamela chairs the Labor & Employment Group's OFCCP/Affirmative Action Team
  • Advice to clients on their disability accessibility/accommodation obligations under Titles I - III of the ADA, the Fair Housing Act, and similar state/local laws for workplaces, rental housing, lending, commercial and public places, buildings, property, and web sites
  • Leave advice, especially under the federal Family and Medical Leave Act and state laws, including the Wisconsin Family and Medical Leave Act, as well as state and local paid sick time rules
  • Pay equity compliance
  • Litigation statistics related to disparate impact, including compensation
  • Electronic communication technologies and social media issues in the workplace
  • Workplace discipline and terminations
  • Internal investigations ranging from violations of workplace policies up to and including alleged fraud and violations of Sarbanes-Oxley and Dodd-Frank to various allegations of fraud by employees seeking protection from adverse employment consequences
  • Records retention of electronically stored information and information in other formats

Pam works with clients across all industries, but has considerable experience working with clients in the following industries: financial services, health care, software, manufacturing, and construction.
