Regulatory compliance guidance for health care providers

Lisa Lyons advises a wide variety of health care providers on regulatory compliance, as well as corporate and contracting matters. She has significant experience counseling on the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law and other frau laws and abuse, and has helped clients with internal investigations and voluntary reporting of compliance matters. Lisa also handles business acquisitions, joint ventures and other transactions, and assisted living acquisitions and licensing. Her clients include:

  • Counsels health care clients to ensure their structure, contracts and transactions comply with relevant regulations, including the Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law.
  • Conducts internal investigations leading to voluntary disclosures to government agencies to curb False Claims Act, Stark Law, and fraud, waste and abuse exposure.
  • Advises pharmacies, hospitals and physician groups on acceptable patient incentives and financial relationships with business partners.
  • Assists long-term care facilities with licensure issues, including initial licensure and responding to statements of deficiency.
  • Drafts and negotiates agreements between providers and their business partners.
  • Represents hospitals and other providers on mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures. 
  • Represents physician groups and hospitals as general outside counsel, meeting a full range of contracting, governance and regulatory compliance needs.
