Bob Harris has more than 25 years of experience practicing bankruptcy law in Arizona and throughout the country. He has represented secured creditors, DIP lenders, unsecured creditors, debtors, committees, trustees, lessors, lessees and purchasers, among others. Bob focuses on:

Experience in Action

  • Representing commercial lenders and other parties in bankruptcy, bankruptcy litigation, workout and restructuring scenarios, disposition of troubled assets and advising on enforcement strategies.
  • Negotiating and documenting pre-bankruptcy loan forbearance and workout agreements.
  • Negotiating and/or litigating secured creditor rights after a bankruptcy is filed.
  • Negotiating, documenting and litigating post-petition debtor-in-possession financing agreements.

Successes

  • Represented a national health care lender with respect to secured claims and/or debtor-in-possession loans in various health care bankruptcies throughout the country.
  • Represented two indenture trustees in an Arizona bankruptcy in relation to secured claims in multifamily housing facilities located in Missouri and Illinois.
  • Represented a publicly held information technology company as debtor's bankruptcy counsel.
  • Represented a national lender in an Arizona bankruptcy, in relation to its secured claim in a Camelback corridor retail facility.
  • Represented a bidder/purchaser in relation to an acquisition of hotel resort management contracts through a bankruptcy auction.
  • Represented the purchaser of a nonperforming loan portfolio in various bankruptcy and related collection matters.
  • Represented a creditors committee in an Arizona health care bankruptcy.
