Steven Hunter Is Reappointed to the Illinois Supreme Court’s Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission

CHICAGO, ILL. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP is pleased to announce that partner Steven Hunter, has been reappointed to the Illinois Supreme Court’s Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission (ARDC).

Hunter will serve another term as member of the Inquiry Board for the state agency overseeing the licensing and discipline of all Illinois-licensed attorneys. The term runs from March 1, 2017 through and including February 28, 2018.

The Board investigates misconduct against Illinois lawyers and decides whether the allegations are sufficient to warrant prosecution. Hunter has previously served on the ARDC's Hearing and Inquiry Board's. His reappointment serves as recognition of his continued excellence in his role at the ARDC, and is representative of the confidence the Commission has in his ability to handle complex and difficult decisions.

Hunter is a member of the firm's Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice group. He is trial lawyer with first-chair experience representing companies in all phases of litigation and alternative dispute resolution, including discovery, "e-discovery," motions practice, arbitration, mediation, jury trials, bench trials, and appeals. He has represented companies and individuals before various Illinois state and local administrative agencies, companies in breach of contract and business tort disputes, and has also represented pro bono clients in criminal, family law, and political asylum proceedings.

He received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and his bachelor's degree from Brown University.
