Quarles & Brady Strengthens Business & Tax Law Practice Group With Addition of Robert Mathers as Partner

The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that Robert Mathers has joined the firm's Milwaukee office in the Business Law and Tax Law practice groups. Before joining Quarles & Brady, Mathers was shareholder and chair of the tax section at a Wisconsin-based law firm. He also was previously national tax director and CEO of the wealth management subsidiary at one of the largest national CPA firms in the country.

"Additionally, the firm has a great reputation and top-notch capabilities in serving businesses in areas such as M&A and finance, as well as in serving individuals with trust and estates needs."

Mathers provides tax advice to businesses and business owners with a focus on tax planning and tax code interpretation, as well as the tax-ramifications on corporate transactions and individuals’ private wealth. He has a multi-jurisdictional practice, with extensive experience representing Midwest businesses, business owners, executives, corporations, partnerships and closely held businesses. Mathers also provides tax counsel to help individuals and families create personalized estate plans and trusts to help them protect their assets.

Prior to practicing in public accounting, Bob was an expatriate financial executive working on capital market transactions for a Fortune 100 global company where he gained substantial international business, tax and legal experience.
