John Jansky is a Patent Agent in the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group. John assists patent practitioners with preparing and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications as well as conducting patentability searches.
John's core technical background is in the field of Biomedical Engineering, specializing in Electrical Engineering. Prior to his career as a Patent Agent, John worked as an engineer with one of the world's largest manufacturers of orthodontic equipment in the Research and Development/Quality department, where he assisted with design considerations relating to various orthodontic tools and devices, and helped optimize and implement workflows. John also worked as an intern with a market leader in the production of biopharmaceuticals in the Analytical Development department conducting biological assays and fulfilling regulatory compliance. While at University of Wisconsin-Madison, he worked as an undergraduate research assistant for both the Electrical Engineering department documenting an imaging system, and the USDA Dairy Forage Research Center studying legume genetics. John also participated in novel design based projects relating to electrical training devices for health professionals, MRI guidance, MRI surgical models, and sleep apnea.
