502 Pharma Fraud Enforcement and Compliance

Eric Pruitt will be speaking at the Healthcare Enforcement Compliance Conference on October 28. His presentation titled, "502 Pharma Fraud Enforcement and Compliance," will:

• Identify key federal and state pharma fraud enforcement trends from the past year, including priority areas targeted by the Department of Justice, HHS-OIG and state Medicaid Fraud Control Units.
• Discuss how existing legal frameworks such as the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, and state-level fraud and false claims laws are being applied in recent pharmaceutical and pharmacy enforcement actions, and evaluate how common operational and business practices may create unintended compliance exposure.
• Review practical compliance strategies to mitigate enforcement risk in light of current federal and state enforcement priorities.
