Business Law Training: What’s Different about California Employment Laws? What You Need to Know If Your Company Has Employees in the Golden State

 | 12 - 1 p.m. Central

California’s employment laws differ significantly, and sometimes surprisingly, from the laws of other states. All too often, companies based outside California that have employees in the state learn about these differences through a lawsuit. This webinar will highlight California’s most unique employment laws and provide tips on avoiding the most common and most costly compliance pitfalls of doing business in the Golden State.

Who Should Attend: This session is designed for in-house counsel, executives, compliance officers, HR professionals and hiring managers. Quarles reserves the right to limit or restrict attendance to the program. There is no charge to attend this webinar, but advance registration is required.

Continuing Legal Education: After the program, Quarles will apply for 1.0 hours of general continuing legal education credit for Quarles attorneys and their clients in U.S. jurisdictions where applicable. Quarles certifies that this activity has been approved for California Participatory MCLE credits by the State Bar of California in the amount of 1.0 general credits. Quarles is a State Bar of California MCLE approved provider.

Participants seeking CLE credit must be logged in, participating from their own device, and must complete the electronic CLE form provided in the course dashboard materials. Please be sure to include the attendance verification code that will be announced during the presentation, regardless of which jurisdiction you are licensed in. Quarles will only provide CLE credit to those who return the form with the proper code.

Anticipated Continuing Legal Education Processing Time: Depending on jurisdiction, the processing time for course approval is estimated to take between 2-16 weeks.
