Cornell Boggs Elected Board Chair of Thrivent

News Release

Thrivent announced today that Cornell Boggs, of counsel and senior strategic advisor at Quarles & Brady, has been elected chair of the company’s board of directors, effective February 1. Boggs has been a member of the Thrivent board since 2013.

With this move, Boggs becomes one of approximately 25 Black leaders to have served as a CEO or chair of a Fortune 500 company. In 2022, Savoy named him one of its “Most Influential Black Lawyers” and, in 2021, the magazine selected him as one of the “Most Influential Black Corporate Directors.”

A Fortune 500 company, Thrivent is a diversified financial services organization that, along with its subsidiary and affiliate companies, serves more than 2.3 million clients, offering advice, insurance, investments, banking and generosity products and programs over the phone, online as well as through financial professionals and independent agents nationwide.
