Maria Kallmeyer Named to Crain’s Chicago Business “2023 Notable Leaders in Employment and Labor Law” for her Work in Employment-Based Immigration

Chicago — Maria Kallmeyer, Immigration partner in the Quarles & Brady Chicago office, has been named to Crain’s Chicago Business “2023 Notable Leaders in Employment and Labor Law.”

Crain’s Chicago Business “2023 Notable Leaders in Employment and Labor Law” honors top Chicago area employment and labor lawyers who make a measurable and specific impact in the types of cases handled, clients won, pro bono work and leadership in professional organizations and civic/community service initiatives.

Kallmeyer advises clients on all aspects of employment-related immigration law, including visas, work permits, I-9 work authorization compliance and citizenship matters. She is an active member in several organizations, including the International Medical Graduate Taskforce and the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Chicago Chapter CBP Committee, where she serves as a liaison between the U.S. government and the association and is active in conference planning to educate members. 

Kallmeyer is on the Quarles DEI committee and Women’s Forum where she helps organize programs designed to develop and retain female attorneys. Additionally, she is a member of the firm’s Chicago recruiting committee and has led the Chicago summer associate program for several years.
