Melanie Verdecia Receives American College of Construction Lawyers Writing Competition Award

Melanie Verdecia, a partner in the Quarles & Brady Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group, received the American College of Construction Lawyers’ Holt Gwyn Memorial Writing Award. She co-authored a paper, “Timing is Everything: Calculating Construction Defect Damages,” that examines how U.S. courts determine the appropriate date for calculating damages in construction defect cases.

The Holt Gwyn Memorial Writing Award is presented annually to the author of an article that contributes meaningful scholarship to the field of construction law. The award recognizes exceptional writing, insightful analysis and impactful contributions to legal issues affecting the construction industry.
