Quarles Brings Recruiting and Development Functions Together as Part of New Talent Team Led by Jennifer Sloop; Adds Industry Growth Veteran Dean Boeschen

News Release

January 20, 2026 — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced today two organizational changes designed to support the firm’s long-term growth objectives:

  • The recruiting and development teams are being restructured to create a new talent department, which will be led by Jennifer Sloop, who has been promoted to chief talent officer. The firm’s human resources team will continue to be led by Ony Beverly, chief people and diversity officer.
  • Dean Boeschen, a highly respected law firm growth leader, has joined the firm as senior strategic growth advisor, based in the St. Louis office. He will report to Mike Aldana, managing partner and chair of the firm’s Executive Committee.

Under Sloop’s leadership, the talent team will focus on ensuring the firm has the talent needed to effectively deliver outstanding results for its clients and to foster its collaborative, collegial culture. This team will continue to oversee the recruiting, onboarding and integration of all lawyers and business professionals while expanding its reach in the areas of learning and development and career-adaptive professional development.

“The foundation of our long-term strategic plan is a commitment to recruiting, developing and retaining great attorneys and business professionals at all levels across the firm,” said Aldana. “Together, these moves better position us to meet the needs of a continuously growing national firm in a rapidly evolving legal industry. We’re excited about this investment in our people and the positive impact it will have on our culture and growth.”

In the newly created senior strategic growth advisor role, Boeschen will work closely with firm leadership to identify and pursue strategic growth opportunities for the firm.

Boeschen has spent more than two decades guiding law firms on strategy, expansion and people plans. Most recently, he was the chief growth officer at an Am Law 100 firm, where he played a significant role in shaping the firm’s national growth.

He earned a B.S. from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and MBA from St. Louis University.

“With years of experience in law firm growth, finance, client development and operations management, Dean brings extensive insight into the ways a firm can pursue strategic growth, better serve clients as well as help clients meet their business objectives,” Aldana said. “He’ll be a tremendous resource as we develop and execute our strategic plan to continue the firm’s long track record of sustained success.”
