Shamika Mazyck Appointed to Board of Black Directors Health Equity Agenda

News Release

Shamika Mazyck, an Indianapolis-based attorney in the Quarles & Brady Health & Life Sciences Practice Group, has been appointed to the Black Directors Health Equity Agenda (BDHEA) Board of Directors.

Founded in 2020, BDHEA is a national leadership organization advancing health equity through governance, accountability and strategic action for Black communities and others disproportionately impacted by systemic inequities. BDHEA focuses on where decisions are made — boards, executive teams and clinical leadership — to help ensure equity is embedded into strategy, operations and measurable outcomes across the healthcare ecosystem.

Mazyck is a founding member of BDHEA and has served since 2022 as co-chair of its Policy Committee and assistant secretary to the board. She joins the board as John Daniels, Quarles chair emeritus and founding board chair of BDHEA, concludes his service on the organization’s board.
