Experienced medicinal chemistry patent prosecution
Matthew Kier assists with the preparation and prosecution of domestic and international patent applications. He has extensive research experience in medicinal chemistry and industry experience supporting chemical intellectual property (IP) strategy in small-molecule drug discovery.
Prior to joining Quarles, Matthew was a senior scientist at a pharmaceutical company, where he supported global patent strategy for immunology and oncology programs through identification of novel and patentable chemical space. He also invented and developed a novel synthetic method forming the basis of a pre-clinical candidate and associated patent filings.
