Phoenix — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that partner Amy Cotton Peterson has been selected to "Outstanding Women in Business" by Phoenix Business Journal.

The 20th annual "Outstanding Women in Business" honors 25 women from diverse professions and industries who make a difference in their communities and workplace every day. Nominees were judged on three criteria: professional accomplishments, community leadership, and awards and milestones.

Cotton Peterson is the national chair of the firm's Health & Life Sciences Practice Group and works in the Phoenix office. Her practice focuses on health care transactions, regulatory and compliance issues, business development and provider defense. Beyond her law practice, Cotton Peterson is a licensed physical therapist and an executive board member of Chrysalis, a non-profit organization with a mission to end domestic violence. She holds a B.S. from Truman State University and a J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law.
