Six Team Members Honored as Wisconsin Law Journal 2022 Legal All Stars

Milwaukee – The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that six team members were honored as Wisconsin Law Journal 2022 “Legal All Stars.” Partners Lori Meddings and Jeff Peelen received the “Leaders in the Law” award, partner Daniel Kersey and associate Bryce Loken received the “Rising Young Lawyers” award, paralegal Barbara Juran received the “Lifetime Achievement” award and legal secretarial work coordinator Maryann Wilson received the “Unsung Heroes” award. This year’s honorees were recognized December 8 at an in-person event.

Meddings, based in Madison, is national chair of the Intellectual Property Practice Group and helps her clients protect and enforce their intellectual property throughout the world. Along with her strong work ethic, her empathy for others is seen in many ways as she assists her colleagues through trying times.

Peelen is a Milwaukee partner in the Public Finance Practice Group and has a strong leadership approach to his work as well as clients. He works on some of the most complex matters while promoting growth in development within his team at the same time.

Kersey is a partner in the Business Law Practice Group, located in Milwaukee. He represents clients in private equity transactions as well as assisting with complex commercial agreements. He always maintains a great attitude in the office, which is why many peers as well as colleagues seek his advice.

Loken is a Madison associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group, where his focus is on patent, trademark and trade secret litigation for various industries. With a strong desire for successes, he dives into his cases with applied knowledge and determination.

Juran is a Milwaukee-based paralegal in the Real Estate Practice Group, where she focuses on loan and transaction work. She has aided clients in many transactions in her 43 years with the firm. With her knowledge and experience, she has trained various colleagues who trust her judgement both internally and externally.

Wilson is a legal secretarial work coordinator in Madison who supports attorneys and is active role in the Quarles Cares community outreach program. She helps with various events, raise money and volunteers regularly.
