Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation Extends Nonresident PIC Deadline to March 30, 2026

On December 19, 2025, the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation granted a variance to 68 Ill. Adm. Code 1330.550(a), which requires pharmacists-in-charge of nonresident pharmacies to be licensed in Illinois beginning January 1, 2026. The variance extends this deadline to March 30, 2026. We encourage any pharmacists who will need to be licensed in Illinois by the new deadline to submit applications as soon as possible in order to allow sufficient time for processing.
