Michele Washington, Ph.D., is a registered patent attorney who prepares and prosecutes patent applications and assists clients on strategic U.S. and international patent portfolio development. She also has experience handling patent infringement, freedom-to-operate and patent invalidity analyses, as well as licensing strategies, prosecuting trademark applications and addressing trademark dispute matters. Michele counsels clients such as individual inventors, university tech transfer offices, startups and large research companies in various life sciences technology areas, including:

Michele’s technical experience is in the field of molecular and cellular biology. Her graduate thesis was directed to studying key players and mutations in the vitamin D receptor signaling pathway that impacts prostate cancer cell growth, and her postdoctoral research focused on the effects of autophagy on chemotherapeutic drug efficacy in ovarian cancer cell cultures and tumors in mice.
