• Managing domestic and international patent portfolios for clients ranging from startups and emerging growth companies to global technology and manufacturing organizations.
• Developing strategic IP programs designed to align patent portfolios with business objectives, product development roadmaps, competitive positioning and long-term growth initiatives.
• Monitoring competitor patents, products and emerging technologies to identify infringement risks, competitive threats and strategic opportunities.
• Advising clients on freedom-to-operate considerations, infringement risks, patent enforcement strategies and defensive IP planning.
• Conducting IP due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, licensing arrangements and other strategic business transactions.
• Providing on-site and remote training for engineering, research and development, legal and executive teams regarding invention disclosure programs, patent prosecution best practices, clearance strategies and IP risk management.
• Assisting firearms industry participants with Federal Firearms License (FFL) matters, National Firearms Act (NFA) compliance considerations, regulatory requirements and related business operations issues.
• Advising clients regarding the effective and responsible use of AI tools within innovation, drafting and IP workflows.
