Workplace Safety in Practice: Responding to Behavioral Concerns and Conducting Fitness for Duty Evaluations

Corrie Klekowski and Tory Polin will be speaking at the CALPELRA 2026 conference on November 18. Their presentation titled, "Workplace Safety in Practice: Responding to Behavioral Concerns and Conducting Fitness for Duty Evaluations," will address the complexities of responding to employee behavioral concerns and potential workplace violence. Using public and anonymized real-world scenarios, they will discuss how employers can assess and respond to behavioral concerns and workplace violence incidents, make informed decisions about fitness-for-duty evaluations, mitigate risk, support employees and protect organizational integrity.
