Quarles Recognized by Mergers & Acquisitions "Mid-Market Deals of the Year" for Multi-Million-Dollar Portfolio Company Sale

The Quarles & Brady Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) team received an honorable mention recognition in the Food & Beverage category in the annual Mergers & Acquisitions "Mid-Market Deals of the Year for 2026" for the sale of a private equity firm’s portfolio company.

Team members on the project were John Barry, Mike Chargo, Ryan Haas, Dan Kersey, Liz Lacey and Tessa Patterson.

The honorable mention cited a deal in which the firm represented a portfolio company (along with its subsidiaries) of a large private equity firm specializing in middle-market investments across manufacturing, service and distribution sectors in the sale, conducted through a competitive auction process to a Boston-based private equity firm. The deal marked a significant milestone for the client, allowing them to exit their portfolio company’s business with a profitable return for the fund.
