Energy and environmental litigator

Lauren Rosso represents electric and natural gas utilities before the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin and on appeal. She also litigates environmental matters and other complex disputes in state and federal court.

Lauren approaches her work with a practical mindset that is focused on the end goal and creative solutions to get there. She enjoys briefing complex legal issues through simple and convincing terms and prides herself on delivering actionable advice to clients.

Experience in Action

  • Represents public utilities in rate cases, construction dockets and other proceedings before the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin.
  • Litigates complex CERCLA and RCRA actions in federal court on behalf of potentially responsible parties (PRP).
  • Litigates contract claims and other commercial disputes.

Successes

  • Obtained approval to build and acquire thousands of megawatts of generation and storage facilities, including Wisconsin’s first utility-scale battery storage system and various renewable and natural gas facilities.
  • Third-chaired successful federal environmental trial.
  • Assisted negotiations in various multi-million dollar construction defect cases.
  • Convinced the Supreme Court of Wisconsin to amend a rule of civil procedure.
  • Won a Certificate of Innocence for a client who was wrongfully imprisoned on federal fraud charges.
