Lucy R. Dollens

Biography

Lucy Dollens concentrates her practice in complex commercial litigation, representing clients in all aspects of business litigation disputes. Lucy enjoys working with her clients to best position them to meet their business objectives and minimize risk with respect to contractual issues prior to the initiation of litigation and throughout the course of litigation. Licensed in both Indiana and West Virginia, Lucy's commercial litigation practice encompasses distribution and dealership disputes and warranty issues, including for large manufacturing clients, as well as employment restrictive covenants and trade secrets litigation. She also has extensive experience representing financial institutions, servicers, and consumer finance companies in both the consumer and commercial contexts. Her practice extends to federal and state trial and appellate courts, bankruptcy courts, proceedings involving governmental agencies and regulators, and class actions.

In the appellate arena, Lucy represents individuals and corporate clients in both state and federal appellate courts in a range of legal issues including commercial litigation, labor and employment disputes, products liability cases, premises liability matters, and administrative and licensing issues. She also represents amicus curiae parties in cases involving significant issues before Indiana’s Court of Appeals and Supreme Court and pro bono clients (through court appointment) in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
