Domestic and foreign patent preparation and prosecution
Joe Ambrose practices in all areas of intellectual property with an emphasis on domestic and international patent prosecution. He also regularly supports clients with the preparation of infringement, invalidity and freedom-to-operate opinions, and he frequently offers strategic patent litigation and post-grant proceeding support.
With a mechanical engineering degree, Joe's practice includes the prosecution of both design and utility patents. Joe has considerable experience growing and managing domestic and international patent portfolios that leverage the synergies of utility and design protection to comprehensively protect client products.
Joe serves clients in a variety of industries in the mechanical, electrical and software arts, including:
- Consumer goods, such as apparel, air care, coffee and espresso machines, footwear, furniture, golf equipment, household and hospital cleaning products, kitchen appliances, speakers and audio systems.
- Manufacturing, such as additive manufacturing systems, industrial automation systems, hydraulic systems, automotive power and control systems, construction vehicles and equipment, fasteners, valves, equipment and tooling.
- Digital technology, such as blockchain networks, non-fungible tokens (NFT), virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and smart devices/Internet of Things (IoT).
